As the Sun Sets in the Mountains

(This picture can be enlarged by clicking on it. Clicking a second time will make it full-sized.)

We celebrated Betsy’s birthday at Pisgah Inn on the Blue Ridge Parkway in North Carolina. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, although we couldn’t see either the rising or the setting sun from our room. I took a picture from out balcony on the first evening we were there as the sun started to set. The beautiful sky and the patches of fog in the valley made me feel that the photo would make a pretty good painting. With the help of Photoshop, this is the result.

I agree with Ruth –since I have no talent when it comes to drawing or painting…. ha ha … That is gorgeous, Honey. When I blew it up, I felt as if I was underwater looking at everything… NEAT.

    Love,
