Raindrops on a Rose

Betsy and I think our roses are beautiful at any time, but I really like the way they look after a shower. I got this photo of our Ronald Reagan rose after a June shower a couple of years ago.

Hong Kong’s Repulse Bay

Before I went there, I always visualized Hong Kong as a massive urban area teeming with people and buildings. So I was pleasantly surprised when I got there to tranquil scenes such as this.

This is Repulse Bay, reportedly named after the British warship HMS Repulse that anchored here in the 1840s. This image is scanned from a slide made over 30 years ago. Although the slide had deteriorated, after I used Photoshop to convert it into a ‘painting’ I thought the result looked pretty good and brought back some happy memories.
