Abbott Lake in the Morning

Betsy and I enjoy staying at the Peaks of Otter Lodge when we are in the area around Bedford, Virginia.  The lodge borders man-made Abbott Lake, and many rooms have a balcony overlooking the lake.

This was the view from our balcony early in the morning on our Thanksgiving trip.

    I think a room overlooking this lake would make for a very tranquil stay! It looks like the fall foliage would be fantastic at its peak!
