Moonstone Rose

I’m not an artist, but I do like line drawings.  I’ve learned a way to create line drawings from photographs using Photoshop, and I enjoy the experiments very much.  This is one of the experiments that I felt was worthy of posting.

Moonstone is one of the newer roses in our garden.  It does very well in a container.  The blossoms are beautiful — white tinged with pink — and the rose has a mild fragrance.  The original photo is shown below.

The Painted Desert

The Painted Desert from Tiponi Point

I’m not an artist, but I do like line drawings.  I’ve learned a way to create line drawings from photographs using Photoshop, and I enjoy the experiments very much.  This is one of the experiments that I felt was worthy of posting.

Betsy and I took a major trip out west in June, 2011.  Our first stop was to the Painted Desert in the Petrified Forest National Park.  The drawing above is a rendition of what we saw at our first overlook.  The photograph on which the drawing is based is shown below.
